As far as sandwich shops go this one is ok. I would go 3 and a half stars if Yelp would let me. Everything was good but nothing spectacular. All 3 of us in the family chose the pick 2. I had the Italian and Avo-Cobb. Both were good. We all thought the sandwich portions of the pick 2 were very small, but the salad portions were larger than expected. We would have liked to see it the other way around. I would go here again if in the area and needing something quick. But wouldn't go out of my way.

Clean and simple. A good sandwich. A little pricey (maybe by a buck or two) but not terribly expensive. Chips are extra and the choice of sides is minimal so that's disappointing. They advertise soups on the sign outside but don't have much of a selection. I would think that at a place named "pickleman's" that every order would come with a free pickle. Nope. Half a pickle is 89 cents, a whole pickle is $1.69. I've paid more for worse for sure. It's not bad and I'd go again, but I am in no rush to return.

Pickled hot peppers and cauliflower. So good. A toasted sandwich will always be better than a cold sandwich -- in your face! Italian beef with Aus Jus... yeah... that's giving them the business. Nice employees too...

Great soups and sandwiches! I love the interior of the building (new and clean). Friendly employees, one of my favorite places to have lunch.

The service there was awful! They were rude and very slow! We went in for our lunch break and on a bit of a time crunch!! We gave them the order and it took the 20 minutes to make a salad! They started other orders before ours! The register guy said they will finish your salad if you move! They also weren't paying attention and switched my friends sandwich with someone else's Togo order so they had to make another one! We wanted to get a pickle too and we asked 3 times and neither of the times they never gave it to us so we left!! I wouldn't recommend going there unless you have plenty of time or go in when it's slower!

Pickleman's is outstandingly average in it's food quality and below average from a value perspective. Their prices seem to run the same as the competition but you get about 1/2 the food. If this is supposed to be "gourmet" then they're missing the mark, except on the prices. The Bacon Turkey Sandwich was average in every possible way. The portion size was underwhelming and nothing about the sandwich was memorable. I also don't appreciate having to locate ripped pieces of the protective paper that was lodged into my sandwich after it was packaged. The Meatball was the same...nothing special. At all. I've been three times now and am not looking for a fourth. If I wan't a no frills sandwich and be charged a reasonable amount I'll go to Jimmy John's, Firehouse or Planet Sub. Better (and more) food for the same/better price.

Had a very delicious sandwich, would definitely come back for the turkey-bacon with avocado

We were the only ones in this place at 545 pm one evening, that should've been a red flag!! Thought the food was good, very nice service, but thought it was expensive for no more than we got, which was a sandwich/chips and a small pizza w/ two drinks! $35 - probably won't be going back...,,

Picklemans is a fantastic alternative to par sandwich joints. I feel as though the price-to-quality of the product is spot on. They are equipped with the new Coketron9000 automated Coke product dispensing mechanisms, which is an adventure in delight. The ingredients are top quality in the sandwiches. The pizzas are nothing special. The soups and fresh baked cookies are peerless! Try this place out if you've never been.

As a stop in between soccer & home this is a good place for families. I like salads and can get a half order. My husband and kids like pizza. Another person wants a sandwich then it is all here with a drive-through! Anyone with young kids trying to get some non-fried foods without too much hassle should try this place. I like that they have different kids sandwich combos. Just note if you get pizza or a large order you may have to wait 5-10 minutes. That's alright with me since it would take me much longer to make a different meal for each person. I love the Buffalo Chicken salad.

I'm not going to go in to too many details about this place, but I'll rock it bullet point style: -Clean restaurant -Plenty of parking -Friendly enough staff -Boring and unoriginal sandwiches -Not very good bread -Not very good meats, and low in quantity -Overpriced Go to Jimmy Johns. Better, quicker, and better again.

So average it's scary. During a crazy moment I dreamt that we might get a pickle with our sandwich - but no.

For a 6in sub I would say was six inch I could get a footlong from subway for 6 dollars. This place needs to come up with a footlong sandwich especially when you haven't eaten all day and want something that's healthy and really good. One of the staff members who checked me out didn't seem like he wanted to be there didn't really have a affect on me. For 10 dollars just for a six inch sub a bag of chips and a drink totally not worth it.

Amazing customer service I almost feel like family when I walk in there. They are very active in social media with their customers and love to please! One time I went through the drive thru and it wasn't until I got home that I noticed they had forgotten to give me my tomato soup, I tweeted in frustration just to vent and within an hour got a personal message apologizing and offering me an entire free meal (soup, sandwich, drink and a cookie!) I went in the next week showed them the conversation on my phone and boom then honored it and I walked outta there with a free meal! The staff at this location is amazing and I go almost twice a month. I always order the grilled cheese (add turkey) and dip it in the tomato basil bisque (which is the best tomato soup I have ever had!)

I'd been meaning to checkout Pickleman's for sometime. Finally made it and now I'm not sorry it took so long to get there. The staff was friendly enough and the menu offerings seemed very nice and varied. I decided on a Pick Two with a half a club sandwich and a cup of broccoli cheese soup. With a bag of chips and a drink my total was nearing $12. Ouch. The soup was okay. A bit too much broccoli and a pretty gritty grainy cheese soup. One strike. The half sandwich was tiny. I thought maybe it was a kids meal. It tasted okay but not outstanding. Strike 2. I usually don't think much about drinks at a restaurant but I have to say in this case I did spend some time thinking about them. Pickleman's has fallen prey to Coke's latest serving abomination-the all in one dispenser. These things look cool but are slow and because they dispense numerous flavors from one nozzle means your drink ends up tasting like whatever the last guy is drinking. Yuck. Strike 3. The chips were good.

I hate leaving a bad review for this restaurant but they rightfully deserve it today. Long story short, I try to work through my lunch period and order a sandwich and salad. It took them an hour and fifteen minutes to deliver to my office, 2 blocks away! The food was cold and gross. I know it was because they made it earlier and just let it sit around before they had someone deliver. It's a disappointment considering their food is normally great. Even worse, they made no offers to accommodate the long wait time or inconvenience. It's the only time I have not tipped...and I still feel bad about it. But I will not be ordering lunch here again, and have told my co-workers to follow suit.

I love Pickleman's, the staff is friendly, the building is extremely clean and the food was beyond what I imagined. I would recommend anyone to come here and try it, especially if you haven't been there before. Try the Italian Club or the Asiago Chicken pizza--- both are fabulous, as with everything else!! --oh and don't forget a cookie!!

The sandwiches are good and they deliver, which is nice. But the staff seems pretty uninformed about the menu. Also they when we ask for delivery they often get the order wrong. One time it lead to me being over charged.

This was the first place I have honestly just walked out on due to the food being so displeasing. My wife AND me both disliked what we ordered (I had the meatball sub and she had some spicy chicken sandwich). I don't want to gross anyone out but the food did not taste good at all. I hate being negative but I don't recommend this place unless you know exactly what is good on the menu and what isn't. Otherwise go to Firehouse or Jersey Mikes and get some good food. The staff was very friendly, the place was clean, and I like the location.

One simple word describes Pickleman's: "Yum!" And, they deliver! Club sandwich is my favorite and you must add bacon! Soups are comparable to Jason's deli.

A-OK. Nothing special. The pickle was good, I'm glad. I would have been sad if the Pickleman's pickle wasn't tasty.

Pretty consistent, which I love! It's not the best food in the world, but not the worst either. I love their soda choices..the pizza is pretty good as well. Very overpriced for what it is..convenience is key when talking about this place. Get the cheese pizza!

Pickleman's Gourmet Café is like Subway, just a little nicer. I love a good deli and happened to be over on that side of town, so my husband and I ducked in on a whim. Reminder, this is why I always Yelp a restaurant before going in, looks and names can be deceiving. I wouldn't call anything about this restaurant gourmet. I ordered a meatball sub, it wasn't bad, but in a head to head competition IDK that I would choose it over Subway or Goodcents. My husband ordered at Buffalo chicken pizza. The person working the counter opened up a package of prepared "pizza" crusts (like a Boboli, just thinner) and went to work. Each item on his pizza was pre-measured and pre-packaged. The restaurant was clean, the staff of 17 and 18 year-old boys were quick and friendly. This is just wasn't what I was after in a "gourmet" deli experience. The name says it all, or does it?

I was craving a sandwich and so when I saw the oppertunity to have one from a place I had never heard of I jumped on the chance. The atmosphere was good but the sandwich was'nt anything special.

I love Pickleman's, but I'll try to write an unbiased review. It has been a college town hit in places like Lawrence, Columbia, and my hometown, Springfield. (Funnily enough, I know several locations, like this one, moved in right next to a Jimmy John's, and both shops have been able to coexist peacefully.) I've always experienced consistency at the other locations and was excited to see a shop was opening up within five minutes of my home. It's a little on the pricey side -- $5-$6 for a sandwich. Then you get it, and it looks small. But it has weight to it, and you end up more full than you might expect. I usually just get the turkey sandwich, but I've liked their chicken variations too, particularly the chipotle chicken. Their caesar salad is very good -- a side salad portion is enough for me. I have never tried the pizzas. I never get soft drinks anyway, but they do have the silly combination Coke machine where everything comes out the same spigot. They deliver and they cater. I've used both of those services for my office near the Springfield location, and I doubt they work any differently here. Service has always been friendly, and I like the warm, sandwich-shop atmosphere. In the other locations, they have college flavored decor; here, there are colorful pictures of familiar KC landmarks, in an effort to blend into the city culture. This is one of our easy, go-to dinners when we don't want to cook and need something fast and simple. I've never been disappointed with my experiences at any of the Pickleman's locations, and it's like a piece of back home.

My daughter ordered the cheese personal pizza with bacon, and I ordered a side ceasar. With drinks our total was a little less than $20, not too bad, but not like a super cheap meal or anything. They make the pizza fresh, so my daughter had to wait a few minutes, but they went ahead and handed me my salad and our cups. We liked the new Coke machine, it was fun combining new flavors, and made if fun on refills as well. My salad came in a to-go container, with the dressing in a small separate container, so they cater to the to-go crowd, I guess. Interestingly enough, while I found it a little annoying to be served in that plastic box, it did make distributing the dressing super easy, since I just poured as much as I wanted, closed it, and vigorously shook it! I thought the dressing had a nice tangy-homemade taste to it, and the salad had a nice amount of parmesan and croutons. By the time we had our drinks and I had a few bites of my salad, the pizza was ready and it was huge! Easily fed us both very nicely with that side salad. My 12 year old would have never finished it on her own. Very nice crisp bottom, and I really liked the taste. After reading Jeff's review I am definitely sticking with the pizza- we loved it. The staff was friendly and when we got up to leave they thanked us for coming in, which I thought was nice. I think I just wish they would have lunch specials, they are a little expensive. I realize the soda machine probably cost a lot, but I would have been okay with the regular machine for the lower price. I think the least expensive drink was almost $2, but I don't think any restaurant in the shopping center has any cheaper, so they are just like all the rest. I really like this shopping center, and I would come here again. Oh, there's a drive-thru, which is also nice. Plus, I keep wanting to order a pickle, since I would hope they would stand up to their name :)!
